Below is a segment of a coaching session I did with a golfer who struggled with short approach shots. He joined the first class of the Advanced Mental Toughness coaching program and took advantage of the coaching calls to apply the R.A.C.E. Formula to his game.
Here is what he wrote to me a couple weeks after:
Hi Craig,
I thought I would take time the time to give you a quick update since our last chat.
Today was “match play” day with the group of guys I play with on a weekly basis – typically (10 – 12) players for (9) holes, in the AM, at Port Townsend Golf Course.
The front nine plays to a Par 35. I shot (3) over for a score of 38, had my first “hole in one”, and wound up with the low net score of 31 for the group!
The majority of the guys have handicaps between 5 to 13 for nine holes.
We had a six hole carry over, due to match play pushes, and headed for the practice green for a putt off. Having the low net I had to putt first and sank a 35’ putt to win those remaining six beans.
I credit your work with me, for everything just fell into place.
All the best life has to offer,
Steven L. Mitchel
